Voluma XC is a part of the Juvéderm family of injectable dermal fillers that corrects the volume the face has lost with age. The body’s natural supply of hyaluronic acid (HA) decreases over time, which causes the skin to lose its natural hydration and elasticity. As a result, the skin develops wrinkles, lines, and folds, especially in areas like the mid face and cheeks. Expert Injector, Dr. James Gordon uses Voluma to restore the facial volume in his patients at his plastic surgery offices in Westchester County and New York City.
"I really don't think there's a better doctor than Dr. Gordon out there. The day I met Dr. Gordon was one of my best days and decision of my life. Dr. Gordon literally "uplifted" me with upper and lower blepharoplasty, along with skin laser around the sensitive areas around my eyes. He is a master of the eyes who knows not just the anatomy well, but also understands the art of the aesthetic aspect. The outcome is amazing, better than I had expected. I do not look like I had eye surgery. Nothing was too obvious. Everything seems so natural. Because Dr. Gordon is also a trainer for other doctors, he was so skilled in the way he used laser around my eyes to remove my wrinkles and uneven skin tone. Most importantly, all the procedures were done within my budget without any pressure. Truly the best!"- K.F. / Google / May 07, 2015
"Loving my "Liquid Facelift" Westchester, NY - To be honest, "Liquid Facelift" sounds so far-fetched I never considered having it donemyself. Seeing the work of Dr Gordon's from my friends convinced me to go see him. The Dr's friendliness and integrity made me book the procedure. Dr was very upfront about what I can achieve (and not achieve) with the procedure. The "liquid" Dr Gordon used: Juvederm, Voluma that restored my facial volume and Botox which got rid of my fine lines, wrinkles. I gave the Dr office permission to upload my before/after photos. Check out the gallery, you will see me there. 2 thumbs up Dr Gordon!"- J. / RealSelf / Jul 20, 2015
About The Procedure@headingTag>
Once Dr. Gordon and the patient have decided to use Voluma as part of the patient’s treatment plan, the injections take about 15 minutes to complete in his minor procedures room. Dr. Gordon will perform a physical examination and ask about the patient’s full medical history, then determine where to place the injections.
During/After The Procedure@headingTag>
Patients may have redness and swelling in and around the injection sites for 3 – 5 days after the procedure. Dr. Gordon will give each patient instructions to aid the healing and results after the procedure. Patients should also follow up in 1 – 2 weeks at Dr. Gordon’s office so he can examine and document their results as well as examine the patient for any potential side effects and complications.
A treatment session with Voluma wrinkle filler will be priced based on how many syringes are used. Most patients pay between $750 and $1,650 for a single session.

Voluma Vs. Juvéderm?@headingTag>
Voluma injections treat age-related volume loss by restoring lift and contours to the cheeks and mid face. Juvéderm fills in moderate to severe facial wrinkles by plumping up the skin. Dr. Gordon helps patients determine the best injectable filler for their concerns and needs.
Is It Painful?@headingTag>
To increase patient’s comfort during the procedure, Voluma includes lidocaine in its formula to minimize pain during the injections. For patients who still feel uncomfortable or concerned, Dr. Gordon can also use local anesthesia or numbing cream.
