BEST & MOST HONEST SURGEONI went for consultation with Dr. James Gordon. I told him I wanted him to do anything that would make me look better, thereby giving him cart-blanche. He said that I should just do my lower eyelid blepharoplasty, because it would be the biggest bang for the buck. I asked about fillers and my upper eyelids. The good doctor explained that he could perform additional procedures, but I should focus on what would really make the most significant difference. THANK YOU ! More

Incredible Eyelid Surgery Results! - I've always had hooded eyes, and didn't mind them too much. But as I've approached my mid-40's, the skin above my eyes has gotten thinner and saggier, and was making me look older than I really am. My lids had become so heavy that they were sitting on my eyelashes. I also felt like I looked tired and angry most of the time, even with a full nights sleep. So I began research on RealSelf and found that there was a doctor nearby who was an expert in this type of surgery and had tons of before and after pictures showing extensive experience in correcting this issue. I am a visual artist by trade (photographer/digital retoucher), so it's my job to notice the tiniest of details and imperfections. I wanted to look younger and refreshed, but not look like I "had work done". I met with Dr. Gordon in person and found him to be honest, trustworthy, and a genuinely nice person. I was fully relaxed and at ease during the surgery (awake but with a Xanax to make me super relaxed), and with the local numbing I literally did not feel a thing. I was relaxed enough to be talking and joking with the doctor throughout the whole procedure, genuinely felt no pain at all other than the small amount of local numbing initially. I also had the doctor add a little filler in my tear throughs to ged rid of the purplish hollow areas under my eyes. He did that part first and it was a little painful/uncomfortable, but this was my first experience with fillers. Makes me look refreshed without needing to cake on underage concealer every morning. Once the surgery was complete, I was given full instructions for aftercare and Dr. Gordon even personally gave me a call later that evening to check in on me to make sure I was doing okay. There was a staff member who was available by text if I had any questions or concerns.I was red and swollen and in a small amount of pain for a few days after, so I laid low, caught up on Netflix, and let myself heal. Tylenol and the Rx eye cream helped a lot. My surgery was on a Thursday, and by Monday I felt well enough to run a couple of errands and do some light shopping (wearing sunglasses of course to hide my stitches). Eight days after my surgery I returned to have my stitches taken out -- by the way I have to mention how precise and careful the stitches were! Seriously impressive, so as to make the scar basically invisible in the new crease of my eye. My stitches came out and except for a small amount of redness and a tiny bit of swelling, you would never know I had surgery a week ago. Now a few days later, the swelling is almost completely gone and I have a pretty good idea of the final results and I am so happy!I would highly recommend Dr. Gordon if you are in suburban NYC and looking for a precise and skilled eye surgeon. It is not inexpensive, but it is money well spent! More

I Had Excellent Results - I went to Dr. Gordon for eyelid surgery. He explained to me that I had two conditions, not just one. He gave me the option of having both procedures performed at once but suggested I do them independently to get more precise results. I met with Dr. Gordon regarding Eyelid surgery and immediately knew he was the Doctor for me. Dr. Gordon is highly skilled, professional, and knowledgeable. Moreover, he makes personalized recommendations for his patients. For me, Erbium Laser and returning to him for fillers (he’s a master) in the area after the swelling reduced. The single best thing about my surgery is the natural look. I was told what to expect before the surgery was performed, I had answers to my questions immediately. Dr. made honest recommendations for supplies I would need on hand for use before and after the Surgery. I highly recommend using Arnica pellets (prevents bruising) 2 weeks prior. The procedure went smoothly and with little discomfort, virtually no pain, under the local anesthesia, discomfort for the first few days, and tightness, which is to be expected. The eyelid sutures are a bit frightening to see, but things improved quite dramatically each day. Expect a lot of manageable wound management at home for the first few days (Laser). Eyelids and surrounding area swollen after stitches come out, but you can be in public. Laser recovery 7 days depending on the procedure. The results are fantastic and more than I hoped for. Finally, both Dr. James Gordon and the surgery staff are caring, engaging, and professional. Ultimate Choice! - My experience with Dr. Gordon has been unbelievable. I had surgery with a pushy doctor who encouraged me to have my upper and lower eyelids operated on. I made visits with other doctors who agreed that I needed all 4 eyelids fixed. Dr. Gordon was the ONLY doctor who felt that only my upper lids were bad enough for surgery. I should have listened to him. Instead, I had both upper and lower eyelid surgery by the first doctor. My lower lids ended up hollowed out and my lids were pulled down. Highly satisfied! - I drove in from out of town to see Dr. James Gordon. Staff was pleasant, and the doctor James was great and very honest . I wanted eyelid surgery, but he explained why I wasn't a good candidate for surgery. Instead he suggested plumping my cheeks, lower eyelid region and jaw with a couple of types of filler. My daughter who thinks I'm old thought I looked "awesome!" afterwards. I feel so much better about myself and do not mind having made the long trip. It was well worth it. And a bargain for $1500 for the entire treatment. And I avoided a surgery, and am without pain or downtime. Afterwards, my daughter wanted to enhance her lips. Excellent doctor, excellent results. - Drove up from Atlanta to see Dr. James Gordon. Staff was pleasant, but doctor James was really worth the drive. I was looking for eyelid surgery. He explained why I wasn't a good candidate for surgery. Instead he suggested plumping my cheeks, lower eyelid region and jaw with a couple of different types of filler. My daughter who always calls me old thought I looked "awesome!" I feel so much better about myself and do not mind having made the long journey. It was well worth it. I look like myself but well rested and more vibrant - Dr. Gordon did an amazing job restoring youth to my face. After 2 stressful years of working 80 hour work weeks I could not recognize the tired face looking back at me in the mirror. I have had genetic tear troughs and dark circles since I was about 10 years old, but the stress coupled with loss of fat in my face from aging exacerbated the problem.I was extremely nervous about getting injections so close to my eye area. The first time I had injects when I was 27 was on my nasolabial folds. I went to a dermatologist and they left my face looking lumpy. After weeks of searching reviews on this site I decided to go on a consultation with Dr. Gordon. I explained my issues, and after hearing his suggested solutions and results I could expect, I had my first round of injections the same day. No amount of filler can get rid of dark undereye circles, but at least now the hollows are filled in so concealer actually works and my face doesn't look like it's melting off.In total I had 2 syringes of Juvederm and 1 of Lyft. The first day we used only 1/2 a syringe, it wasn't enough to make my problem areas go away, but I appreciated that Dr. Gordon did not want to over fill my face and wanted to see how the product would fall in the next couple of weeks. Slowly, about every 2 weeks we added a little more for a total of 2 syringes. I did not need the full 2 under my eyes and a little went to my lips and cheeks.When I saw what a difference the filler made to my cheeks I decided to get another syringe of Lyft which is specially formulated to act like a facelift and lift up the face reducing nasolabial folds. And WOW, were the results amazing!Dr. Gordon's work looks completely natural, I feel like I look like myself , but a well rested vibrant version. My friends think I look great, but can't tell I had work done.I was able to go back to work right after the injects were done. I LOVE my new eyelids!! - I had an upper eyelid lift with Dr. Gordon two and a half weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with the result! I first decided to visit Dr. Gordon after reading about him in "Westchester's Top Doctors" Magazine. I read about a variety of procedures he does - including eyelid surgery which I have ALWAYS been interested in. Wonderful Eyelid Makeover from NYC! - I was totally depressed with my looks and life until I met Dr Gordon in Nov last year and had my upper blepharoplasty done in Dec. Dr Gordon thoroughly explained the process and the risks of cataract surgery. Because I had retina issues years ago, he sent me first to a retina specialist. Great Perlane Results in Cheeks - Harrison, NY - I found Dr Gordon thru Realself and was able to get an appointment for a consult, and procedure fairly quickly. I had had restylane once in the past and had bruised for a week or so I expected the same. When Dr Gordon did his consult he opted to use perlane instead of restylane and said he believed I didn't really need it under my eyes based on what he was seeing, and that injections into my cheeks (upper) should fill the hollows; well he was very right. First I barely felt the injections and using a mirror he went a little at a time until we got the results I desired. The results not only turned out great, but also I never bruised and the swelling was so minimal that nobody knew I had it done (but my wife said it "smoothed me completely out). Complete Makeover - 10 Thumbs Up! - Westchester, NY - 2015 is my lucky year. Just last year, I was very unhappy with myself, the way I look, the way I feel. I made a resolution for 2015 to get out of this negative cycle. I needed to do something to bring my life back. I started my research on the best surgeons, what they can do for me. PROFESSIONAL AND CARING DOCTOR - I come from a family of doctors so I have learned to do research before choosing a doctor. After much research, I decided to have a consultation with Dr. Gordon - after all, this is about my EYES! I live in Fairfield County and there are many doctors in my area but decided to see Doctor Gordon in Westchester after seeing all positive reviews about him on RealSelf.com. Firstly, the staff is efficient and the facility is state of the art. It is an active and busy office but I did not even have a wait time. Very impressive. Upon meeting Doctor Gordon, it is clear that Dr. G is passionate about his profession. I did not even know what was wrong with my eyes- just that there was an odd and uneven look to them. He described to me that it was a ptosis condition of the eyelid and one eye was more severe than the other. He put drops in my eye which would vastly improve the cosmetic look for up to 10 hours at a time. In 3 minutes the change was amazing and I could see such a positive change in the symmetry of my eyes. For a permanent repair, he suggested ptosis surgery which I am now seriously considering. Only one day ago, this was not even in my mind but his manner evokes a feeling of confidence and trust. He takes a conservative approach and suggested that he operates on one eye at a time about a month apart. The procedure and recovery seems very manageable with my busy work schedule. I live in Brooklyn, but I went all the way out to Marmaroneck in Westchester to see him (not too bad actually, just take the train to Grand Central, then a 1 hour MTA train to Mamaroneck). Out of all the doctors, he was the only one that far, but I decided he was worth it, I honestly could not find one person who wasn't singing his praises. Here's what happened when I got there for the free consultation. He told me he wasn't going to do a blepharoplasty on me. And that was a pretty incredible thing to hear. Dr Gordon - Expert of Eyelids - Harrison, NY - My friend told me to go to Dr. Gordon because he's the expert of eyelids. I had a prior upper eyelid surgery, but the doctor took off too much skin. I developed hollowed upper lids. It was very clear to other people that I had eyelid surgery. Dr. Gordon injected filler underneath my brow to give fullness to the upper eyelid which then made it appear natural. Now people cannot tell I had eyelid surgery done. Unfortunately the filler will have to be injected again in nine months, but I'm willing to go through this to have perfect looking eyelids. Symmetrical Eyelids - I've been contemplating either surgery for a long time because both eyelids are different heights. Great Doc -White Plains, NY - Westchester Eye Associates is the premier place for eye/vision care. I can't say enough great things about them. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable. Particularly, Dr. James Gordon, he was wonderful. I made an excellent decision seeing him. He did my upper double eyelid surgery January 2011. In the initial visit, he was courteous, and very patient. He took time to explain what the procedure entails and I left feeling totally confident in his abilities. The surgery went very smoothly and the recovery was just as he explained. I feel that Dr. Gordon's expertise minimized my down time, to almost nothing. I am loving the results. Dr. James Gordon is also a fantastic ophthalmologist. I go to him for all my eye care. Just last week he revised a cataract surgery I had undergone a few years ago, and today I see 20/20. Perfect Eyelid Surgery - White Plains, NY - Dr. Gordon explained everything in a easy to understand language what to expect during and after the procedure.
