Overview

Voluma XC is a part of the Juvéderm family of injectable dermal fillers that corrects the volume the face has lost with age. The body’s natural supply of hyaluronic acid (HA) decreases over time, which causes the skin to lose its natural hydration and elasticity. As a result, the skin develops wrinkles, lines, and folds, especially in areas like the mid face and cheeks. Expert Injector, Dr. James Gordon uses Voluma to restore the facial volume in his patients at his plastic surgery offices in Westchester County and New York City.

About The Procedure

Once Dr. Gordon and the patient have decided to use Voluma as part of the patient’s treatment plan, the injections take about 15 minutes to complete in his minor procedures room. Dr. Gordon will perform a physical examination and ask about the patient’s full medical history, then determine where to place the injections.

During/After The Procedure

Patients may have redness and swelling in and around the injection sites for 3 – 5 days after the procedure. Dr. Gordon will give each patient instructions to aid the healing and results after the procedure. Patients should also follow up in 1 – 2 weeks at Dr. Gordon’s office so he can examine and document their results as well as examine the patient for any potential side effects and complications.

Expected Cost

A treatment session with Voluma wrinkle filler will be priced based on how many syringes are used. Most patients pay between $750 and $1,650 for a single session.

Voluma Vs. Juvéderm?

Voluma injections treat age-related volume loss by restoring lift and contours to the cheeks and mid face. Juvéderm fills in moderate to severe facial wrinkles by plumping up the skin. Dr. Gordon helps patients determine the best injectable filler for their concerns and needs.
